Golden Visions Online Magazine of Science Fiction & Fantasy
Contest Information:  Please read carefully...you may enter  more than once, but not in the same e-mail submission.
Okay- here it is...Our second writing contest...and the theme is 'Saving our Planet'... the rules are simple:
As in all our contests, there is  ..............  .... No entry fee .....  and there are ........................No cash awards
1.  It must be either sci-fi or  fantasy, even mystery or horror-(but try to add some aspects of sci-fi or fantasy to it).  No gore, graphic violence, or sexual content please.  Please limit your use of expletives.

2.  Word count between 1000 and 3500 words- no more and no less.

3.  It must be character driven.  The characters do not have to be human.  (They can be plants, animals or aliens- even inanimate beings- like a mirror or even floor tile..., for example)

4.  You can show either how abusing our planet leads to its demise- or how taking responsibility, we have managed to snatch Earth from the jaws of human destruction...but the theme must be the core of the story.  Saving our Planet can include any or all of the concepts included in the 'going green' philosophy.  If you need some ideas on these things, visit Earth911.com and see all the different aspects of our environment that are affected by pollution.

5.  Tell a story, please.  Don't preach.

6.  Double check your spelling and grammar- or have a friend do it.  If your story is unreadable, no matter how good you think it is, it will not be considered.

7.  Single space lines, double space between paragraphs.  Do not indent first line.  Use 12 pt. Courier or Times New Roman.  This is easier for us to read.  Failure to do so, could land you in File 13.

8.  Send the story to: contest@goldenvisionsmagazine.biz- or hit the contest icon.  Do not send to the regular e-mail address. (we won't throw it away, but may not notice it right away)editorgvm@hotmail.com

9.  No reprints please.  You may enter more than once- but no multiple submissions.  (you must enter each story individually) At the top of the submission please include-

Your Name (real)
Byline (if  you prefer a different name)
Mailing address
Story Title
Word Count
email address
short bio

We can not send your contributor copy to you unless you include this information.  No need to add a phone number- we will contact all winners by email.  If you have not heard back by November 30th, your story did not make the final cut.  You may contact us if you like, but unless you placed in the top three, we will most likely just send out a mass mailing note.......The winners will be posted online when they are chosen.

So get busy....have fun....and take the opportunity to learn from this experience. And Please follow these simple little rules....if you don't- you may end of getting your story tossed (aka recycled into the abyss).
