Submissions are accepted year round.  Response time is normally around two weeks or less- except during the time when we are preparing our next issues (both online and in print) - then it might take 4-6 weeks.  If you ever send a submission and do not hear from us within that time- please send an inquiry.  On rare occasions we do have some problems with our email.
We love getting your submissions- but please follow our submission guidelines!  It is very time consuming to have to have to convert things over.  Right now, this isn't a problem.  If it does become an issue later on, we may have to reject your story simply because it's too hard to read.  So please, help us get your story published by working with us and following our requests.
Following the guidelines does not guarantee publication- good writing does.
Go to the submissions section  and see how we want the ms. sent to us. We don't ask for much...really we don't.

Our online magazine will continue without delay- October issue will be ready by October 1st- however, our print issue may be delayed until the middle of October due to health issues with  one of our senior staff members.

Submissions have been slow during this past summer,  and it could be due to summer vacation and the like.  We really need some good stories for our January issues.

If submissions continue to be this slow, we may have to go only to putting out our online edition.  Costs of printing a magazine are not cheap, and sales have been slack.  We expected this- but did not expect such a decline in submissions. (good submissions have really been slow)

We want to keep putting issues out there for our readers (in spite of the fact that there are so few of you) but without help from all of you- we may have to put the January issue on a bried hiatus.  If you want to keep us around- help us by either buying a print issue, donating (any amount) or sending in a good story.  Please see our guidelines before submitting.

And thank you for checking us out!

The staff at GVM.
